Showering Millie!

What a weekend!!  I am beyond blessed with great family and wonderful friends.  My sweet mother and step-father came in town Friday afternoon and we spent a relaxing evening enjoying each other's company.

Then Saturday came...SHOWER DAY!  I have been so excited anticipating this day and here it was!  My mom and I headed out to my mother-in-law's house at 11:30 and walked into a house covered in pink!  My sweet friends were hard at work preparing everything before the guests arrived.  My hostesses were Danielle Everts (my best friend from college), Jess Burkett (great friend and college roomate), and Rachel Kingsbury (great friend and mother-to-be along with me).  The shower was absolutely beautiful and so much fun!  Lots of people came from all over and believe it or not, there were FIVE other pregnant girls there!  We're all due around the same time which is going to make it so much fun raising our babies together.  Here are some pictures from the shower.  I wish I had gotten more!
 Guest Gifts
 Table Decorations
 Millie's Clothesline
Beautiful flower arrangements by my friend, Cassandra.
This was my cradle as a baby, then my sister's, and now Millie's!  My MIL had it refinished and added this precious bedding.  Thanks MA!
Cupcakes from the Gruene Flour Cupcakery.  My FAVORITE!
 Showing off Millie
The best hostesses ever!  Danielle, Rachel and Jess
 Millie's grandmothers: Grammi and Oma
Rachel and I rubbing bellies.  She's due two weeks after me and is having a boy.  Future husband and wife right there!

The shower was beyond amazing and Millie received many amazing gifts.  My mom and I had fun organizing her nursery when we got home.  I can't wait for Trevor to get home to see all the good stuff she got!  Thanks to all my sweet friends who came out to shower Millie Grace.  I love you so much!

Now here we are to Sunday, Father's Day!  I got so lucky today that my daddy was actually in San Antonio for the weekend so I went downtown to meet him and Claudia for lunch.  We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and then walked down to the Menger Hotel which is next to the Alamo.  Daddy wanted to go see this hotel which was built way back in the 1800's and is where President Roosevelt and his Rough Riders stayed.  It was a very neat place to visit and there were all sorts of old pictures on the walls.  here's one of daddy standing next to a picture of Roosevelt and the Rough Riders.

Here we are standing outside the Menger hotel.  Then we compared bellies.  Whose is bigger?

I hope each of you are having an amazing Father's day.  I have been so blessed with the greatest dad in the world and I love him so much.  I can't wait to see Trevor with Millie for the first time.  He's going to be an amazing father!
