GOOD MORNING blogger friends!!
I am filled with joy and excitement to tell you all that my cousin Jaqui is in labor as I am typing this message! She was scheduled to be induced on Thursday, July 1 but after thinking her water broke yesterday, she went to the hospital and they induced her at 4:00 AM this morning.
I have been praying for her and her husband, Rene, all morning and if you are reading this, please send a prayer their way! I just can't believe that she's having a baby right now... and I'm right behind her in September! It seriously feels like yesterday when we were little kids running around our grandmother's house playing with puppets and doing each other's hair. Now, she's becoming a mother today to a precious boy named Ryan Paul Rubio. And shortly thereafter I will become a mother to an angel: Emily (Millie) Grace Bird. WOW!

Jaqui - we're about to be MOMS! God is so good and bountiful in His blessings. Words cannot express how much I love you and how proud I am of you for the choices you've made in your life. You have been a great cousin and friend to me since we were babies and now we get to go through motherhood together. I'm so thankful we'll have each other to lean on!

I am anxiously waiting by my phone for any news that baby Ryan has made his debut into the world. Friday cannot get here fast enough! That's the day I get to drive to Goliad and meet baby Ryan and give Jaqui the biggest hug and tell her, "CONGRATS! You did it! You're now officially a mommy!"
There really is nothing more important than family and I thank God everyday for blessing me with the most amazing, supportive, loving family any girl could ask for. There are going to be so many babies around this year that will all grow up together and hopefully be as close as Jaqui and I have been our whole lives. Thank you, Lord for the beautiful gift of our children. Ryan, I can't wait to meet you!
This is the most beautiful thing I have every read, I am still wiping my tears. You are such a blessing to our family and I love you so much. I love the fact that you and Jaqui have always been close. Thank you again for the amazing words. I love you so much Catie and I am looking forward to meeting your blessed little Millie.
