Wow! What a great weekend! My precious family threw Millie the most wonderful baby shower complete with a baby Bird theme. Here are a few pictures of the cute Bird decorations:
Most of my family was there (which is a lot of people!), along with my close friends from middle school and high school. It was so amazing to catch up with everyone.

Millie received everything that she needs for her first year of life and I must say, she may be the best dressed kid in town after all the clothes she received! Lots of pink and ruffles...can't wait to see how Trevor deals with that! Thank you to all my wonderful hostesses for making that day so special. I love each of you so much!
On another note...as I was unloading all of Millie's presents on Saturday evening, I received a phone call from USA Baby (where I ordered Millie's crib). It was the owner calling to give me news about the whereabouts of my crib that I ordered back in MARCH. She said that the crib had arrived but was so badly crate damaged that it wasn't even functional. Of course this happens to me, right? Well, luckily, she said they had my crib in their store that they used as a floor model that they would give me plus a store credit. At this point with this baby possibly coming at anytime, I decided to take the offer. She said it was in great condition and I knew that I could just disinfect it and it would be totally fine.
So, Monday morning came and Trevor and I headed to Austin with the Tahoe to go pick up our crib...FINALLY! Trevor worked out a deal with the owner that instead of giving us the store credit, we got a free mattress for the crib instead. Woo hoo! So, we loaded up the crib and the mattress and headed home to finalize my daughter's nursery.
Millie's daddy getting her bed all ready for her. I don't know if it's possible to love this man any more than I already do. But I always say that and I always prove myself wrong. I'm so blessed to have him in my life.
Now I'm so excited to finally say that Millie's nursery is COMPLETE! Well, I take that back. We ordered the ottoman that matches my glider and we're waiting for it to arrive but other than that her room is truly complete. My next blog post will have pictures of the final room. YAY!
