Is it a Van Gough? No! It's a Mourfield!!!

Ok I'm sorry but the title is too funny and too fitting for this blog post.  My sweet, sweet friend, Cassandra Mourfield, is an extremely talented artist and I recently sought out her services to paint something special in Millie's room.  She actually helped me plan my wedding and did ALL the flower arrangements from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the reception.  And she did a fabulous job!  She also refinished the baby cradle that myself and my sister slept in when we were babies and now where Millie will sleep for the first month or so.

I love this woman so much because of her passion for the Lord and her uplifting personality.  She can always bring a smile to my face and is always so gracious in all that she does.  When it came time to decide what to paint in Millie's room, there was no doubt in my mind that Cassandra would be the person I call.

Her talent is so wonderful.  She is so creative and draws all of her inspiration from the Lord.  She came to my house yesterday and today and has been working so hard to create a beautiful "nest" for our soon-to-arrive baby girl.  When she works, she listens to sermons and gospel music and she says that is where her creativity comes from and that once she gets started, the Lord works through her to create her masterpieces.  Well, I definitely believe it!  When I would walk in to check on the progress, a smile would come to my face when I open the door and she is singing along with the gospel hymn and dancing around the room.  What a free spirit!  I love her so much.

Here are some pictures of the wonderful work she did in Millie's nursery.  I couldn't have ever imagined anything more beautiful!

The cradle is where her crib will eventually be...if it ever gets here!

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  the branches have touches of gold in them that pull out the gold in her mirror.  Then the precious little baby bird is so cute!  And mama bird is flying in with a worm in her mouth.

"Precious one so small and sweet, dancing in on angel's feet.  Straight from heaven's brightest star, what a miracle you truly are."

Thank you Cassandra for all you have done for our growing family.  You are such a blessing to us and we are truly honored to call you our friend.  Love you!

Now, the crib needs to get here and we'll be all set!
